The colored side is the side you want to be the outside of your cube. |
The gray side is the inside of your cube. |
1. Fold along the dashed diagonal line into a triangle . This is called a valley fold. (A valley fold is formed by folding the paper onto oneself. It is marked by a dashed line.)
2. Unfold the paper into its original form, then valley fold into a triangle again, but along the intersecting diagonal line.
3. Unfold the paper into its original form, then valley fold the paper down in half.
4. Valley fold the paper in half again so it looks like the diagram.
5. Unfold one of the flaps and, following the diagonal crease, squash fold it into a triangle.
6. Turn the paper over and repeat step 5.
7. You now have a waterbomb base. It should look like this.
8. Valley fold the triangle sides to the middle.
9. Turn the paper over and repeat step 8. It should end up looking like a square.
10. Valley fold the left and right points to the middle line.
11. Turn the paper over and repeat step 10.
12. Take the left little triangle and tuck it inside its corresponding pocket. Once snugly tucked inside the pocket, flatten it into a fold. Repeat for the little triangle on the right.
13. Turn the paper over and repeat steps 12 and 13.
14. Crease along the lines, and then unfold again.
15. To inflate the cube, pull the flaps a bit apart (like a star) and blow air into the hole at the bottom.
Tada, you have completed the cube!
